Coding For Fun
Some folks look at projects like AbiWord or ReactOS and all they see are people who are wasting their time by cloning mature Microsoft products. I’ll concede that these projects don’t make much sense if you’re trying to find a business case for them. But the typical contributor to these projects is coding for fun. Watching TV is a waste of time. Coding is not.
