Liter:

A liter is a metric measurement of volume, approximately 0.26 gallons. It is commonly used as a measure of an engine’s displacement (or internal size). One liter is equal to approximately 61 cubic inches. The 4.3-liter Lexus V8 engine can also be described as a 261.9-cubic inch engine.
