Спейсес работает с мышкой не так, как Экспоузей. Поэтому — багрепорт (точнее, фидбек типа «Design/Ease of Use»):

Spaces needlessly requires an extra click and mousemove to work

Let’s say you have mouse buttons X and Y mapped to Exposé and Spaces respectively.

First try this with Exposé:

1. Press X and hold it; see windows fill the desktop.
2. Still holding X, move your mouse pointer to the window you would like to go to.
3. Release X. You will switch to the selected window.

And also this:

1. Press X and hold it; see windows fill the desktop.
2. Make sure there is some other (not the previously active) window just under your cursor.
3. Release X. You will switch to that window.

All this is the “good” behaviour.

Now try the same with Spaces:

1. Press Y and hold it; see space previews fill the screen.
2. Still holding Y, move your mouse pointer to the space you would like to go to (notice how there’s no hover effect).
3. Release Y. You will go back to space you were before :-(

So, to go to another space you actually have to:

1. Click (press and release) Y, see space previews fill the screen.
2. Move your mouse pointer to the space you would like to go to (hover effect works this time).
3. Click Y (sic!) again. Now you are finally in another space.

Now, even extra click at Y does not help sometimes!

Try this:

1. Click Y, see space previews fill the screen.
2. Make sure there is some other (not the previously active) space just under your cursor already (notice how hover effect is not displayed for the space under cursor).
3. Click Y again. You will go back to space you were before :-( This is absolutely awkward. In this case you should have either moved you mouse at least 1 pixel (for hover effect to take place) or make the second click with your primary mouse button.

Exposé’s behaviour is brilliant, and should be copied to Spaces: require no extra click, no unnecessary mousemove.
